Syllabus of IBPS CWE for PO/MT 2014
IBPS official website does not state any detailed syllabus
for the CWE. Means, they do not tell us that you have to study Input/output,
Syllogism, Sitting Arrangement and Inequality problems for Reasoning section.
Similarly they do not tell that you have to study Comprehension, Sentence
Correction etc. for English section. Here Reasoning means any kind of
Analytical and Logical reasoning questions can be asked. Any English Language
questions can be asked, any Numerical Ability question can be asked and so. No
specific formula or funda is there. But, I tell you, please do not worry
reading these words. Everyone knows, you cannot study infinite topics. You have
to go through selective topics. But what are they? I have compiled a list of
topics which are high priority in IBPS CWE for PO/MT. You must be questioning
how do I know these topics will be asked in the exam? Well, yeah I can tell you
pretty sure these topics are most likely to be asked in IBPS CWE. Because I
have compiled the list based on the questions asked in IBPS CWE for PO/MT 2011
and 2012. Let’s take a look at these topics subject-wise.

Sitting Arrangement or in general Arrangement (Circular, Linear etc.) are very
important topic. You should not miss this topic. This is a time eating topic,
so you need to practice a lot to solve Arrangement questions. Input/Output,
Syllogism, Assumption Reasoning are alos counted in the most important topics.
There are 10 Non-Verbal reasoning questions. So, practice this part of
Reasoning also very well. Besides the topics given in the above table, you should
study Analytical Decision Making, Coded Relationship, Coded Inequality of high
level reasoning topics. See below if you are thinking of buying a good book of
Reasoning.

General Awareness-
For many aspirants, General Awareness is a killer. Most
people treat General Awareness as a villain of competitive examinations. But as
I always say, General Awareness is a much time saving and scoring section. You
do not need to think over and over again or employ specific logic to answer
General Awareness questions. You just need to go through Daily newspapers,
periodicals and competitive magazines. TV news cast, internet surfing etc. add
more knowledge to your General Awareness. Following are the topics you should
concentrate to excel in General Awareness section.
